An Ever-Growing Story

Established in 2014, Akila Cares is a community-based health care organization that helps persons optimize their personal, social, and vocational abilities in order to live successfully in the community.  Our goal and mission, since inception, is to promote the health and quality of life for our community members. 


With a direct service staff under the supervision of a licensed or appropriately certified rehabilitation specialist and a core group of volunteers, we have managed to build several partnerships with local businesses and organizations from around the area.  The partnerships have allowed us to create programs, host events, and encourage consumers to become engaged.

Your Participation Counts

Our consumers are involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the services offered.  When the consumers become involved in their care planning, they are more successful in achieving their goals.  We ensure that each consumer is actively involved in the decision-making process regarding all aspects of their care.
